Your room is silver in the morning
And hues of purple and blue
As the rays of sunlight drift through your mini-blinds
And on the hardwood floor
I am not sure it is purely a play of color
As the coo of a Pigeon wafts through your window
The feeling of silver en coats my waking mind
Cool in its consistency and graceful in its delicate dance
Your room is sliver in the morning
When the crisp stark darkness of the night
Melts into puddles on the floor
And the hot Rhythmic beats melt into a dance of lulling silence
It is silver because all the hard edges round
All their accompanying sharpness softens to the vision of the coming day
Your room is silver in the morning as a moment of peace refreshes my soul
Before I face the biting teeth of the day
Here close to you, the waking is easy as we are both satisfied
Silver is not second in my mind
As gold is harsh, cold and dull
Your room is Silver, cool, gentle, comforting
And from this place we stand boldly declaring
"Bring on the day, we are ready, rested, and calm"
All because your room is silver in the morning.
